PXP Solutions, the powerful system behind PXP Financial, has been through a rigorous auditing process to receive the coveted SOC 2 accreditation. The certification must be performed by an external auditor, and PXP Solutions chose Skoda Minotti, one of the leading international business advisory firms.

As a voluntary accreditation, passing SOC 2 illustrates PXP Financials’ ongoing commitment to create and maintain a secure operating environment for their clients’ confidentiality.

What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 is a safety net for both clients and the business itself, as it prevents the mismanagement of customer data.

It is performed by an independent auditing firm and is intended to provide an understanding of the service organisation’s suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of its internal controls.

The accreditation evaluates a vendor’s existing systems and processes and assesses compliance with the five trust service principles outlined in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) guide.

1) Security
2) Availability
3) Confidentiality
4) Privacy
5) Processing Integrity

A service organisation may select any or all of the trust service principles applicable to their business and PXP Financial chose to report on security, availability, confidentiality, and processing integrity.

What does this mean for PXP Financial?

“The successful completion of our SOC 2® Type II examination audit provides PXP’s clients with the assurance that the controls and safeguards we employ to protect and secure their data are in line industry standards and best practices,” said Graeme Zwart, CISO.

“We were excited to continue our audit relationship with PXP on the completion of their 2019 SOC 2 Type II. Graeme and his team strive for improvement in their controls year over year; taking their responsibility for maintaining a well-controlled and secured environment seriously,” says Ben Osbrach, CISSP, CISA, QSA, CICP, CCSFP, partner-in-charge of Skoda Minotti’s risk advisory group.

As an omnichannel integrated payments solution for both in-store and e-commerce, through SOC 2 PXP Financial can ensure first class customer protection, risk management and data analytics.

This will support the platform’s seamless payment experience and increase security for customers. The successful completion of this voluntary engagement illustrates PXP Financial’s ongoing commitment to create and maintain a secure operating environment for their clients’ confidential data.

It’s a testament to the dedication of PXP Financial when to comes to protecting their customers, stakeholders and potential partners, and it demonstrates exactly how PXP Financial really go the extra mile when it comes to regulations.
